I sat in Coffee Bean, having a cup of coffee. And I asked myself, why with my generousity, people view it in different light.
I like to start off with bible verses, "Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can't take anything with us when we leave it. so if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content 1Timohty 6: 6-8 "For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows" 1Timothy 6:10
Money by itself is not evil. It is used for any transaction, be it good or evil. It will be bad, if there are any bad intention on it. It will be bad, if it is accumulated for selfish gain. It will be good, you give away to help the poor and the needy, or contribute to the church.
"Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctanly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to in every good work. As it is written: He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor, his righteousness endures forever" 2Corinthian 9:6-9
Money is an earthly thing, that is all!!!! It is only an earthly media for things done.
Then it becomes an argument on money, when there is conflicting desire.
"what is causing the quarrels and fight among you?Dont they come from the evil desires at war within you? You want something but you dont get it..... James 4:1-2
so the cure for an argument on money is to "Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up" James 4:10
At the end, pray and believe me "God will lift me up". Praise the Lord!
