We are to read the bible daily to soak up the Words of God, like a sponge, soak up the water.
Pastor Dave always uses the word SOAK for his teachings. What does it mean? Definitely, the word SOAK has its objectives.
Well, here goes!!
S for Scripture
open the bible and search for your favorite verse.
read it and allow God to speak to you
O for Observation
in the specific scripture, what is God saying to you.
in your own words, try to put it down in your journal, agenda, or even in your blog
A for Application
put up your thinking cap, and picture the scripture as it applies to your life
is it instructive, encouraging, promising a revelation, giving a corrective action to your deed or need
K for Kneel in Prayer
take time to pray about the passage you have read.
pray for annointing to understand the passage, or the insight of the scripture
write it down.
As for me, I put it down in my blog.
You can see that my blog is portraying, what is in mind, and looking for an expression in the Words of God. It will become my opinion, on things that make me happy or sad, coupled with some scriptures, that God may have put into mind, during our conversation with HIM, simply a prayer to Him
