I bought a book, the other day, at the Changi airport.I found it interesting, because most of the books on self improvement will tell you to do this and that to improve and to be successful. If not, you fail
The book titled "The Ten commandments for Business Failure" by Mr Donald R Keough, Former President of the Coca-Cola Company.
The book states that if you do take those actions, you will have failures in whatever you do. The book is different in the manner, it is done.
You fail, if do these......
The list is as follows:
1) Quit Taking Risk
2) Be Inflexible
3) Isolate Yourself
4) Assume Infallibilty
5) Play the Game Close to the Foul Line
6) Don't Take Time to Think
7) Put All Your Faith in Experts and Outside Consultant
8) Love Your Bureaucracy
9) Send Mixed Messages
10) Be Afraid of the Future.
These are the blunders that I have seen, some of the corporations made. Mind you, the companies or the individuals will still continue doing it, after they have made the same mistakes again and again.
It is a how-not-to manual!!!
The famous people commented on this book, Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, Jack Welch, Rupert Murdoch, Andrew McKenna, and Barry Diller.
It is must read book
