My Panda story for my children

When my children were very, small, I always tucked them in and told them the Panda story. There are many variations, but the Theme is the same.... lost and covered themselves in black

Once upon a time, there were two white bears sitting on an iceberg. The iceberg had broken off from the icy mainland, with the two beautiful white bears on it. They had been floating on the sea and they were frightened! They did not know what they should do. They were desperately clinging on to each other. The iceberg, they were sitting on, was getting smaller, as the sun was getting hotter and hotter.

After sometime, they saw land ahead, they became excited but they did not rock the small piece of ice. They knew they would be drifted towards the land.

Finally, they reached the land, and they were very happy. They sat down to think what they had to do, seeing they were in a strange place.

Suddenly, one bear realised they had not taken any drink and suggested to go to look for it together. They explored the land, and moved further into the land. When they were about to give up, they saw a small pool, filled with blackish water. Well, they had no choice.

They waded in, the white fur on their legs turned black. They were still not aware of their black legs. They put their hands into the pool of water. Their hands also turned black.

Now they did see their beautiful white fur were stained with black colour. They were at lost what to do! They hugged each other, and now their backs were blackish.

They were desperate, and they put their paws to their eyes and ears to rub them, as they were now crying.

Now imagine these two beautiful white bears, with blackish legs, shoulders, hands, paws, ears and black eyes.

What do we have here.

The first Panda bear. Ha Ha Ha

So the story ends.

Mind you I have to repeat night after night the Panda story, they have grown. It stops!! Happy but sad, nobody listens to me anymore.
